Welcome! My name is Riley Kaminer. I am currently undertaking an MPhil in Latin American Studies at the University of Cambridge. In July 2018, I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a First Class MA (Hons) degree in Business Studies and Spanish.
Passionate about combining my background in international business with my work in media, I am constantly on the lookout for ways in which technology can enable meaningful journalism. My cultural awareness is at the forefront of everything I do, stemming from my command of both Spanish and English as well as my time living abroad in the UK, Spain, France, and Brazil.
While an undergraduate at the University of Edinburgh, I co-founded The Columnist Magazine, the only opinion-based journal within the official Students’ Association. Under my leadership as Editor-in-Chief in 2016/2017, the publication was admitted into both the National Library of Scotland and the University’s Centre for Research Collections.
My hobbies include art, literature, and Latin American culture. I am an avid photographer, using the visual medium as a complement to my written work.
I am currently based in Cambridge, England.
